"We do not learn from experience, we learn from reflection on experience." - John Dewey
CAS reflection can take many forms. You can write, type or make a video reflection. During an experience, you can collect evidence and write a meaningful end reflection OR you can keep a journal of ongoing reflections. There is no write or wrong way to reflect - it just has to be meaningful. If your reflection tells me what happened or what I would have seen If I was there - it isn't helpful - it needs to be personal.
As a student at the MLC - you have participated in the Service as Action program and Personal Project. In BOTH of these early experiences, you wrote reflections to show growth in specific areas - this is the same type of work.
As you write, you MUST use the learning outcomes. Students often bold the learning outcome phrases or they hashtag them at the end of the paragraph. Remember, the end goal of CAS includes looking for evidence of your growth in ALL seven learning outcomes.
